Fixed-price transfer to London Luton Airport. ~85 miles via M25 and M1. Flight tracked, meet & greet included. Ryanair, Wizz Air and easyJet specialists.
Luton Airport has grown significantly in recent years and is now a major hub for Ryanair, Wizz Air and easyJet, handling routes to Eastern Europe, North Africa, Turkey and popular Mediterranean destinations that travellers from Tunbridge Wells frequently use. The airport has undergone significant expansion, including a new multi-storey car park and terminal extension, which has changed drop-off and pick-up procedures.
The route from Langton Green to Luton heads north on the A21, joins the M25 anticlockwise from Junction 5, and then picks up the M1 northbound at Junction 7 (near Bricket Wood). From the M1 you exit at Junction 10 onto the A1081 into Luton Airport. The M25 anticlockwise section from Sevenoaks to the M1 junction passes through some heavily trafficked stretches around the A3 junction and the Watford area.
Luton Airport introduced a new drop-off charge system at the terminal forecourt as part of its expansion. Free drop-off is no longer available at the terminal door — there is now a charge for vehicles stopping at the terminal forecourt. We include this in our transfer and handle it entirely; you do not pay anything extra on the day. Your driver pulls in, you unload, done.
For pick-ups (arrivals collections), Luton uses the Multi-Storey Car Park (MSCP) as the designated waiting area. Your driver will park and meet you inside the terminal arrivals area with a name board, so you do not have to navigate to the car park yourself. Once you are with your driver, they retrieve the vehicle and you walk a short distance together. This system takes 10–15 minutes longer than a standard kerb pickup — we factor this into your return transfer timing.
Luton's terminal handles all airlines from a single building, which simplifies things compared to Heathrow. However, the check-in rows and departure gates vary significantly depending on the airline, and budget carriers at Luton are known for sharp boarding times and strict gate-close policies.
We ask for your flight number when you book a Luton transfer — partly to confirm pick-up timing, and partly to double-check you have the right airport. easyJet in particular operates from multiple London airports and it is not uncommon for passengers to have booked from Gatwick but assumed Luton or vice versa. We catch this before it causes problems.
The anticlockwise M25 from Sevenoaks to the M1 can be testing during morning and evening rush hours. The section around Junction 10 (A3 Wisley), Junction 12 (M3) and the Watford section near Junction 19 all have regular slow-moving traffic on weekday mornings.
Luton tip from our drivers: If the M25 anticlockwise is heavily delayed around the Heathrow junction (M4/J15 area), there is an alternative via the A3 and A1(M) that bypasses the worst of the motorway. We assess traffic live before departure and take the best route available on the day.
Approximately £155–£175 for a standard saloon at our fixed from-£155 rate. The distance is roughly 85 miles via the M25 and M1. Your exact price is confirmed at booking — no meters, no peak surcharges.
90–120 minutes depending on traffic. The anticlockwise M25 from Junction 5 to the M1 is the key variable. We recommend allowing 2 hours for morning peak departures. Your recommended pickup time is confirmed when you book.
Yes, Luton Airport charges for terminal forecourt drop-off. We include this in your transfer — there is no extra charge to you on the day. Your fixed price covers the complete journey including terminal access charges.
Your driver meets you inside the terminal arrivals hall with a name board. Luton uses the MSCP for driver waiting, but we come into the terminal to meet you — you do not need to find a car park. Once you are with your driver, they retrieve the vehicle from the MSCP, a short walk away.
